I'd been watching movies featuring super heroes last week; and when we talk about them, we can't ignore their super powers, right? I bet you're thinking that I'll write about SUPERHEROES. Hehehe Well, I'm not but what you're gonna read is somewhat related.
After watching those, I wondered, if I'll become a superhero what super power would I like to have? Are you thinking the same for yourself? hehehe Anyway, I thought of having a power that can see the future; "see" not "predict", they are two different words. And what would my superhero name be? "Future Girl"? " Super Future Girl"? "Future Teller" or "Super FT"? Nothing sounds right, I can't think of any nice name for now but I hope someone would suggest a good one. Filipino superheroes have props to take or stone to swallow before they transform into a superhero form like "DARNA". What shall I take or swallow? Hmmm... Maybe I'll just have to eat cheesecake or drink milk shake to transform, its just simple but fun. At least I'm eating edible things, right? Ahahaha...
It would be great to see other people's future. I'll be able to see if they'll succeed or not, if they'll have better tomorrows and if their dreams will come true. I'll give you a situation...
"A family of lawyers expect their offspring and their future generation to continue their legacy. But what if one of the children doesn't want to be like them and has other dream? Of course, they would force the child to perform his duty as part of the family, right? So, Ta-Da! I'll enter the scene! I already ate the cheesecake and seeing the child's future now. I see the child as a 35-year old adult walking on the street and wearing a sash with writings on it and it reads 'Aim: Be a Lawyer'. Its a heart-breaking scenario, isn't it? So, to perform my duty I'll have to ask the child what he really wants to become and encourage him to do good in school. I'll also talk to his parents and tell them to talk to their kid and support him in pursuing his own dream because he'll to better on whatever it is that he likes to do. As expected, like in other fictions, I have convinced them. Now, after drinking my milk shake I see the child's new and better future. He's going to be a popular movie star in Hollywood."
Wonderful! I would feel that way if I have such power. It would be awesome to change other people's life better. And it would be a big achievement if I'd do that.
If I will be able to do that, our world would be a better place to live in for there will be no bad guys or crazy people living here. We'll all become better human beings; only love and peace will exist. Our world would be close to perfect.
But is it really that good. Great power comes great responsibility. Would I be able to handle it? Having such power, is it not playing "God" now? Why would I change what God has planned for the humanity? That's bad...
Good thing, what I wrote is just part of my creative mind. That will certainly not happen. But if ever I'll be able to see the future maybe it would be "God's Gift" and not a super power thing because superheroes don't exist. And I'll use it for the good of everybody.. =))
